How long does it take to create a pair of ear pieces? It usually takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to create a complete pair of "journey" ear pieces. Pendants, brooches, and bracelets can be created in 2 hours or less.
How can I pay? Designs by journey offers a quick and secure way to pay from the comfort of your home through a PayPal supported email-invoice account.
After ordering custom pieces, how soon can I expect to recieve them? It takes 7 to 10 business days to receive your custom jewelry once the order is confirmed. If addition time is needed to create your custom pieces the artist will provide the arrival date at the time of order confirmation.
Is there a shipping and handling fee? There is a $3.95 shipping and handling fee for custom pieces.
What if I order pieces but never receive them? The artist works with a delivery service that offers confirmation, tracking and shipping insurance. If delivery failure occurs on behalf of the delivery company further arrangements will be discussed between artist and patron. Refunds are issued only in the event that delivery failure is confirmed by delivery company.
If I need custom jewelry in as little as 5 or less business days, would it be possible to submit a request to rush an order? Yes. Pieces can be placed on rush order for an additional $20 production fee. Shipping and handling fees still applies.
What is the price range of "journey" ear pieces? Prices of ear pieces currently range from $45 to $75 per pair. Brooches and pendants are priced from $45-$65. Bracelets are usually created as a part of a set and sets (including both ear pieces and a bracelet) are priced from $65-$95.
What is your refund policy? No refunds or exchanges. Refunds are ONLY issued in the event of delivery failure once confirmed by the delivery company.
What type of hooks are used on the jewelry? Hooks are sterling silver or 14 karat gold plated.
Will the paint fade? Each hand painted accessory is sealed with a clear gloss, water proof finish and if properly cared for is expected to exhibit vibrant coloring for a life time. See abreviated care instructions under "ABOUT" tab.
What should I do if pieces are damaged? Proper care of pieces should prevent damaging, but paint restoration, hook, bead and stone replacement can be provided at an additonal cost. Please note: bead and stone availability may vary.
